Transform your data with PCA and MNF

Principal Component Analysis and Minimum Noise Fraction are powerful tools for visualizing your data, but what is the difference?

Overview

There are three Transforms available to you within Marigold's Processing Toolbox: Decorrelation stretch, Principal Components Analysis (PCA), and Minimum Noise Fraction (MNF). Decorrelation stretch is relatively straightforward, it simply enhances the contrast between the three input bands in your image. But what about PCA and MNF? This article covers how they each work, how they are different, and under which circumstances one is more appropriate than the other.
